What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Hot Wire Machine Operator position at Stone?
We are seeking a CNC hot wire foam operator with experience in CAD. In this role, you will create foam molds that serve as the forms for our cast stone products.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate a CNC hot wire foam cutting machine to produce precise foam molds based on CAD designs
- Reference sketches and engineered drawings to visualize and fabricate foam tooling for molds
- Measure and inspect foam pieces to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality
- Maintain and troubleshoot CNC equipment, following preventive maintenance routines
- Document production activities and communicate any irregularities or needs for repairs
- Adhere to safety and quality assurance processes at all times
Requirements
- Proficiency with CAD software for creating and modifying mold designs.
- Experience operating CNC hot wire foam cutters, preferably in a manufacturing or mold-building environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and quality control.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
