Assistant Customer Service Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Customer Service Manager to lead our customer service team within our grocery store. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and support. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for enhancing the customer experience while driving team performance. Candidate will work closely with our Customer Service Manager.

Duties

• Supervise and manage the daily operations of the grocery store customer service department, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with team members to provide guidance and support in resolving customer inquiries and issues.
• Train, and develop cashiers.
• Work with customers to resolve complaints and ensure their needs are met effectively.
• Maintain high standards of phone etiquette to ensure professional interactions with customers.
• Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills, cashiering and fostering a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a customer service management role or similar position.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and staff.
• Experience in training staff within a customer-focused environment.
• Proficiency in negotiating solutions that satisfy both the company’s objectives and the customer's needs.
• Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
