Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deli Manager to oversee the daily operations of our deli department. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train deli staff to ensure efficient operations and exceptional customer service.
• Oversee food preparation, ensuring that all items are prepared according to recipes and quality standards.
• Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, tracking stock levels, and minimizing waste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Handle shift management responsibilities, including scheduling staff and delegating tasks effectively.
• Monitor food handling practices to ensure adherence to health guidelines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a kitchen or deli environment, with a strong understanding of food handling/food preparation and safety practices.
• Demonstrated ability in staff training and development, fostering a positive team atmosphere.
• Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory control and management.
• Culinary skills with the ability to prepare a variety of deli items efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
