Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Develop and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS (if applicable), and all relevant tax and regulatory standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including preparation, consolidation, and presentation to executive leadership.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with department heads to align financial planning with business strategies.
- Accounting Operations
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and improve financial systems, processes, and policies.
- Tax and Regulatory Compliance
- Manage tax planning, filing, and compliance processes in collaboration with external auditors and tax consultants.
- Stay updated on financial and regulatory requirements, implementing changes as necessary to remain compliant.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering professional development and high performance.
- Set clear objectives, monitor progress, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Strategic Contributions
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making by the executive team.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks while capitalizing on growth opportunities.
- Evaluate investment opportunities and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and investors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification required.
- MBA or advanced degree in finance is a plus.
- 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
- Experience in [industry, e.g., retail, manufacturing, technology] preferred.
- Proficiency in financial software systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.

Salary : $125,000 - $145,000
