- Operate industrial sewing machines to join, customize, chain stitch, reinforce, or decorate products.
- Read and interpret work orders and design patterns to determine the construction process.
- Adjust machine settings for different types of thread, patches, chain stitching and finishes.
- Inspect and repair finished products as needed to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders and inventory materials.
- Conduct regular maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the store to troubleshoot issues and improve product quality.
- Assist management with training new employees on the safe and effective use of sewing machinery if required.
- Proven experience as a Sewing Specialist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in operating various types of industrial sewing machines.
- Strong understanding of fabric types, sewing techniques, patch work, chain stitching and customization.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in tailoring is a plus.
