The Renaissance School of Medicine, Stony Brook University, Department of Anesthesiology is recruiting for a Pain Management Physician for the Chronic Pain Division.
Stony Brook University is located 60 miles from New York City on Long Island's scenic North Shore. Our 1,100-acre campus is home to 24,000 undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students and more than 13,500 faculty and staff, including those employed at Stony Brook Medicine, Suffolk County's only academic medical center and tertiary care provider.
General Responsibilities:
The candidate will provide pain management services in an outpatient setting, to patients who suffer from chronically debilitating pain. The candidate will be actively engaged in the instruction and/or supervision of medical students, resident physicians, and pain management fellows.
Required Qualifications:
MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) degree. Licensed in New Yor State. Board certified or board eligible in primary specialty. Completed or soon to complete an ACGME Fellowship in Pain Medicine. Board certified or board eligible in Pain Medicine.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Cerner EMR systems.

Tenure/Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure).
