Position Summary
The StaffCo Benefits & Leave Administration Specialist is responsible for all benefit plan administration including union and non-union plans across all StaffCo Entities under the direction of the StaffCo Human Resource Systems Manager. The selected candidate will perform duties and carry out responsibilities specific to leave and benefits administration, account management, renewal, compliance and general account administration functions for union and non-union hospital and administrative staff. The StaffCo Benefits & Leave Administration Specialist will work in cooperation with Site Human Resource Staff, employee health, union representatives, both Payroll and the Finance departments.
Duties of the StaffCo Benefits & Lea ve Administration Specialist may include but are not limited to the following :
Benefit Administration
- Conduct new employee orientation for onboarding and coordinate enrollments and terminations for employee Health and Welfare and pension plans.
- Design and coordinate benefits presentations to help employees with enrollment and encourage participation in the wealth of programs offered through our carrier
- Coordinate Annual Open Enrollment process.
- Work closely with finance and payroll to audit billing and plan cost sharing deductions for benefit enrollment accuracy.
- Review monthly bills from carriers to monitor and approve payment in a timely manner.
Leave Administration
The selected candidate should be open to working out of multiple StaffCo locations including but not limited to Stony Brook, Lake Grove, Hampton Bays, Southampton, and Greenport.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with patients, staff and medical providers. The employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. This position is largely sedentary and requires the employee to remain stationary for a majority of the day. Any additional physical demands will be outlined and provided by management. Anticipated Pay Range :
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as - $65,000 - $80,000 based on relevant experience.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents StaffCo’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
