Now Hiring : The Outside Parts Sales Representative located in Lafayette, Indiana-
Summary : Responsible for growing parts business while continuously identifying and developing new business opportunities through existing accounts and prospective new accounts for Stoops Freightliner – Western Star.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Frequent local travel in assigned territory to make sales calls to trucking / leasing companies, truck / trailer independent repair facilities, municipalities, and school bus garages
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with new and current customers
- Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services provided
- Actively seek and identify prospective new customers through cold calling
- Develop constant awareness of market / industry trends as well as competition / competitive products and communicate these with management
- Develop sales plans with management and review sales plan progress regularly to ensure personal and departmental goals are achieved
- Timely completion and submission of daily customer visit logs
- Maintain customer contact information and communications utilizing the Company’s CRM Salesforce
- Review sales activities, new sales opportunities, and sales objectives with management
- Assist with customer parts returns, issues, and disputes as requested
- Participate in job-related training and development
- Collaborate with internal departments on any customer needs
- Forward any possible leads for sales or service to the appropriate person / department
- Help customers with warranty problems when applicable per the policies and procedures of Stoops Freightliner – Western Star
- Other duties as assigned
