What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Maintenance Technician CPX4 position at Storage Asset Management?
Summary:
This position will be responsible for all maintenance related tasks (cleaning, building repair, etc.) at storage facility locations assigned. Maintenance technicians repair and maintain self storage buildings, keep grounds looking professional as well as assisting with other onsite tasks as assigned.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine (daily) visual inspections
• Complete work orders as assigned
• Maintain physical property appearance, i.e., lawn care, snow removal, landscaping, mopping, changing light bulbs, trash removal, etc.
• Clean or refurbish vacated self-storage units to ensure a quick turnaround time
• Other items may include general repairs of locks, doors, latches, etc.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to travel between locations and purchase supplies as needed.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Previous experience in maintenance/mechanical field with high school education desired.
Requirements:
- Exceptional customer service skills a must
- Open availability including weekends is needed
- Ability to perform light maintenance and overall property upkeep
- Management experience in leasing, retail, or operation environment
- Previous experience in sales or marketing with a proven ability to generate business and close leads
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must be energetic and open to new ideas and direction changes
- A High School diploma /GED equivalent. College education a plus
- Must be able to stand for several hours at a time and lift 25 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation
- Completion of pre-employment background screening
- Previous experience in storage management a plus!
