The Operations and Acquisitions Specialist is responsible for conducting audits and evaluations as part of the acquisitions process for newly acquired properties and markets.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the due diligence process for potential acquisitions.
- Travel to conduct property audits as part of the acquisition process.
- Perform unit audits, review lease agreements, and validate system data.
- Collaborate with IT during the acquisition process.
- Inspect and audit properties to ensure compliance with company standards and policies.
- Undertake additional duties and projects to support field operations as assigned.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in self-storage multi-unit management, or 4 years in multi-unit management in customer-facing, sales-oriented industries (e.g., retail, hotel, car rental, restaurant, call center).
- Ability to travel up to 80% of the time, with overnight stays in various markets as business needs require.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with software programs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on maintaining positive customer and employee relationships using tact and diplomacy.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
