Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 Salary/year
Description
The successful candidate will perform the following:
- Manage general accounting duties including monthly financial reporting, maintenance of financial datasheets, general ledger, input and review of journal entries and reconciliations; prepare month-end close; review financial packages; assist other teammates as needed.
- Prepare and/or oversee company accounting functions related to client fee income and receivables, staff and operating expenses ad payables, bank/cash management, intercompany and vendor relationships, financial audits, federal/state, local tax accounting, filing and tax returns, fixed assets and fixed asset depreciation.
- Perform monthly financial statement close, bank reconciliation, P&L review; analyze budget vs. actuals; verify month-end cash balance to bank account; adjust journal entries.
- Onboard new business by reviewing check list and working with AR/AP to ensure all tasks are completed; manage ACH set-up for mortgage; request promissory note and amortize loan schedule; set-up bank account and merchant accounts.
- Prepare and file quarterly sales tax, quarterly lending report; assist in budget preparation, annual property statements, year-end CPA reporting.
- Prepare financial analysis and reports, cost analysis and rate studies.
- Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures; ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
Qualifications
About You:
- Bachelor's degree and 7 years of experience in accounting analysis and reporting, preferably in property management/real estate.
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills, ability to manage priorities and utilizing available resources to complete tasks within strict deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Outlook (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to learn management software and IT hardware fundamentals at each location. Experience using Yardi accounting software required.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with different groups of people.
- Flexible self-starter who flourishes in a dynamic environment.
