We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Franchise Business Consultant to join our team. As an FBC, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to our Storm Guard franchisees, helping them run their businesses effectively. This role serves as the liaison between our franchisees and our corporate office. They provide support, guidance, and advice to franchise owners on things like franchise operations, marketing, sales, and finance. You will work closely with franchisees in your assigned portfolio to analyze their business needs, conduct research, and provide recommendations for operations and process improvements. In short, a Franchise Business Consultant is responsible for ensuring that franchise owners meet their business goals while adhering to Storm Guard’s brand guidelines, processes, and standards.

This position is mostly a remote role (must be located in the Central or Eastern time zone) and will require travel. Travel will average 2.5 trips / month, 2-3 days a trip. Position compensation will have a bonus component in addition to base salary.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Providing guidance and support to franchisees on operations, marketing, finance, business development, strategic planning, and other matters.
  • Conducting regular assessments of franchisee performance and implementing improvement plans.
  • Assist the Operations team in developing and delivering training programs for franchisees.
  • Build relationships with Storm Guard franchisees to deepen their commitment to the brand, compliance, and overall growth.
  • Drive implementation and adherence to Storm Guard franchise operating procedures; monitor compliance with franchisor standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct annual business reviews with assigned franchisees to establish goals around growth, profitability, and succession plans.
  • Analyze operational franchisee performance to identify areas of opportunity for increasing sales and profitability.
  • Ensure that the Storm Guard Brand is protected and well represented by assigned franchisees in all respects in accordance with existing Storm Guard policies and standards.
  • Plan and conduct or assist with system-wide conferences, site visits, and trainings as required.
  • Well-qualified applicants will have :

  • Proven experience in business consulting, franchise operations, and / or management consulting is highly desired
  • Management expertise within the roofing or home services industry a plus
  • Outstanding track record of creating beneficial business partnerships, and collaborating with others in a team effort to achieve set goals
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage time well and handle multiple franchisees simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, analyze individual businesses for performance, identify issues, evaluate options, prioritize efforts, and develop / implement appropriate actions for growth
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with various audiences to influence behavior, resolve issues, and gain commitment
  • A clear understanding of financial drivers of franchise business operations, market conditions, competitive landscape, and trends
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions; must be able to build credibility and trusting relationships, bringing people together to solve problems
