Role Summary
The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategy and implementation of all elements of Storm King's digital presence, including social media, website, advertising, and email communications. Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, they work across departments to prioritize audience development and coordinate dynamic and integrated campaigns that drive awareness, visibility, and visitation in alignment with institutional goals. The Digital Marketing Manager will also work closely with Artistic Program colleagues to develop an inspiring vision for online content, including video and audio for the collection and exhibitions.

Primary Responsibilities
Audience Development
Authentically embody Storm King's voice and brand, expressing the organization's values and mission in all communications.Craft compelling content that engages and grows Storm King's audience and helps to convert online community to in-person visitors.Combine creativity with strong analytical ability to provide insight into Storm King's current and potential audience targets, evaluate touch points, and identify new opportunities.Set growth goals for each digital platform, track relevant analytics, and create reports for internal review.Share analytics-based updates during department and staff meetings, including top-performing content and high-level strategy.Social Media
Integrate Storm King's social media presence across channels, including evaluating new platforms and technologies for possible adoption.Maintain a content calendar, including drafting text, taking and editing photos and video, and scheduling posts.Develop engaging exhibition and project-based campaigns, with Artistic Program colleagues.Monitor and communicate with Storm King's audience and online community across all channels, including engaging with and re-posting relevant accounts, and responding to public comments and direct messages.Advise other departments on social strategies for promoting online and in-person events; coordinate with other departments to receive materials and information needed for promotional posts.Attend key Storm King events / programs and post to social media channels in real time.Research and engage with content creators to develop collaboration opportunities for Storm King.Monitor and analyze social media trends and events, assessing their relevance for Storm King's purposes.Advertising / Marketing
Manage relationship with advertising agency to develop campaign goals / KPI's, support implementation, and share reporting.Manage Storm King's Google Grant and paid search campaigns with an eye toward optimization and timely keywords.Create and schedule ad hoc social ads as needed to support discreet goals, strategically matching audience to identified goals.Email Communications
Maintain an institutional email schedule and advise colleagues on best date and time to send.Draft organization emails, including the biweekly institutional newsletter, Membership outreach, and targeted campaigns for other departments.Manage subscriber lists in Constant Contact and work with Database Manager to ensure integration with Storm King's constituent database (Blackbaud / Altru).Stay current with email marketing best practices and trends; design and create new email templates as neededWebsite
Update the organization's main website and online calendar, including requests from other departments.Build webpages in CMS editor (WordPress); advise other departments on user experience, content flow, and best practices.Maintain Storm King's business information on external platforms such as Google for Business, TripAdvisor, and Yelp, ensuring content and links are current.Other Responsibilities and Duties
Lead biweekly Communications Update meeting to ensure coordination between departments and anticipate upcoming content and promotion needs.Post events to online calendars and external websites.Assist Communications Team with grassroots marketing strategy, brainstorm ideas, and support next steps.Create and organize content folders with copy and images.Provide onsite photo / video documentation of general visitors, events and programs, artist visits, conservation work, and sculpture moves as needed to support digital content.Assist with onsite and offsite events, tours, and public programming as needed.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills and Qualifications
At least five years of content development experience (internship experience is acceptable), including managing social media presence for a brand, company, or organizationExcellent writing and editing skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously with multiple stakeholdersProficient in all Microsoft Office applicationsPreferred Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred in communications, marketing, design / UX or closely related fieldExperience with web CMS systemsExperience with Constant Contact or other email marketing platformExperience with video editing and production, including with social-native apps and toolsExperience with Google Analytics, Google Ad Words, SEO, and SEMWorking knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)Working knowledge of HTML and CSSCurious and passionate about contemporary art and designPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions
