Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Plating Manager to lead operations at our Fort Smith, AR facility, with consulting oversight for two locations in Mexico. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and has a strong sense of urgency in maintaining plating standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee chemical composition and control processes for dip tanks
Monitor and record plating solutions, ensuring compliance with specifications
Utilize X-ray machines to verify plating tolerances
Develop and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for plating tanks
Ensure effective boiler operation and regulatory inspections
Lead and supervise plating team, including lead operators and lab technicians
Maintain compliance with city, state, and federal regulations
Manage ordering, storage, and disposal of chemicals and supplies
Conduct semi-annual performance reviews and maintain staffing levels Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost savings
Qualifications
✔ 5 years of experience in plating, with supervisory or management experience
✔ Expertise in precious metals plating and reclamation
✔ Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office. (Plex ERP experience is a plus)
✔ Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
✔ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
✔ Experience tracking KPIs and presenting management reports
Preferred Experience:
- Supervisors and Managers with strong plating knowledge looking for career growth
- We will strongly consider Electro Plating Managers & Electro Finish Managers
A college degree is NOT required.
