Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead process optimization efforts, drive operational efficiency, and ensure high-quality production standards. This role will play a key part in the startup phase of a new manufacturing facility and will serve as the technical lead for process improvements, working closely with production leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor a junior process engineer, providing guidance and professional development support.
• Develop and refine manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high product quality.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure smooth plant operations and timely product output.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.
• Assess current manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to increase productivity and reliability.
• Perform root cause analysis on process disruptions and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain and update process documentation, including standard operating procedures, process flow diagrams, and work instructions.
• Train and support production supervisors and key operators in process optimization techniques and best practices.
• Stay current with advancements in manufacturing technologies and integrate innovative solutions where applicable.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure material quality and resolve any supplier-related challenges affecting production.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards related to manufacturing operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 6 years of hands-on process engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, with leadership or senior-level responsibilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related discipline; a master’s degree is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques, statistical process control (SPC), and manufacturing best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong technical writing skills with an ability to create detailed reports and process documentation.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor junior engineers, co-ops, or interns.
• Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a results-driven approach.
• Experience in Greenfield or Brownfield manufacturing startups is desirable.
