Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to play a key role in our finance department. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, and providing valuable financial insights to help us make informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
- Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist with the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and ensure proper coding of transactions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and assist with financial statements, balance sheets, and other reports to provide insights into the company’s financial health.
- Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations, and maintain meticulous financial records.
- Audit Preparation: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-2 years of accounting experience (internships or part-time roles count!).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
