We are looking for a talented Utility Mapping Specialist to join our team at Storm Search. This is a direct hire opportunity offering an excellent salary, benefits package, and growth potential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing proposals, contracts, permits, and reports; consulting with clients; and drafting maps. This role involves overseeing field surveys and recording data of marked utilities after they have been located using various electronic tools.
This position requires cross-training in utility locating theory, including surface, subsurface, and aerial utilities such as gas, water, sewer, phone, power, and CATV lines. Travel may be required depending on project locations.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, Associate degree, or certification in Surveying or a related field.
- PLS, LS, or PSM licensure in at least one state.
- High proficiency with data collectors, total stations, and GPS/GNSS.
- Knowledge of CI/ASCE 38-22 Standard or willingness to learn.
- Ability to read and interpret maps, records, and plan sets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PDF editing tools.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in field survey and/or engineering.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
