Storm Smart, a leader in hurricane protection solutions, is seeking a dedicated Shutter Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various types of hurricane shutters and storm protection products. You will work directly with customers to ensure their homes and businesses are safeguarded against severe weather events, particularly hurricanes.
The ideal candidate is skilled in hands-on repair work, familiar with various tools and machinery, and has experience working with hurricane protection systems.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Installation: Install various types of hurricane protection systems, including roll-down shutters, accordion shutters, and storm panels that need to be replaced due to damage.
Maintenance and Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair hurricane shutters and related storm protection systems to ensure they are in proper working condition.
Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to determine service needs and provide education on how to operate and maintain their hurricane protection products.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to motorized and manual shutter systems, including mechanical and electrical problems.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures during installations and repairs.
Inventory Management: Maintain tools and equipment and ensure inventory is stocked for efficient service delivery.
Documentation: Complete service reports, track work orders, and communicate with the Service Manager on job status and issues.
QualifiedShutter Service Techniciansare required to ensure that the hardware they are servicing or repairing is kept in good working order and is correctly diagnosed if any problems arise. They should also be able to repair, replace or install our line of products and possess the competence to perform the installation and replacement process.
