Artificial Intelligence Attorney

Stott & May is representing an Artificial Intelligence Startup in New York.

We are looking for highly talented attorneys to join a team comprised of graduates from schools like Harvard, Yale, and Stanford. With the primary goal of making artificial intelligence available to compliance, legal, and regulatory teams at world-leading hedge funds, private equity firms, life science, and pharmaceutical companies.

The Role

In this role, you will sit at the nexus of law, technology, and client success. This is perfect for high-performing attorneys eager to apply their legal expertise, in a position that is closer to technology where you can genuinely impact the product and the long-term impact it has. You will work closely with C-level clients to guide them through the intricacies of regulatory compliance, leveraging an AI-powered platform to deliver tailored solutions and business value.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Acting as a legal subject matter expert, advising clients on compliance and regulatory challenges.
• Translating complex legal and business problems into actionable insights, becoming a trusted advisor to clients.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including AI engineers, product specialists, and client engagement teams, to enhance client experiences and drive platform improvements.
• Preparing and delivering tailored insights, client presentations, and in-depth analyses of regulatory frameworks.
• Engaging in strategic initiatives to elevate our brand, crafting metrics-driven content that reinforces our mission and impact.

We’re looking for:

• A J.D. from a top 20 law school and 1–6 years of experience at an AmLaw 100 firm
• A passion for technology and artificial intelligence, with a strong desire to bridge the gap between law and technology
• Expertise in regulation, compliance, or related legal fields
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• An entrepreneurial mindset, with a proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
