What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Accounting Representative position at Stoughton Trailers, LLC?
Primary responsibilities in AP: process vendor invoices, which includes 3-way match verification against receiving documents; reconcile vendor statements; accurately resolve invoice and billing issues with vendors; process vendor payment runs via electronic ach, check, and wire; manage vendor correspondence via email or telephone; meet processing and reporting deadlines.
- Primary responsibilities in AR: generate invoices and statements to customers; post and apply payments and record deposits; accurately resolve invoice and payment discrepancies; perform collection activities for past due accounts; manage customer correspondence via email or telephone; meet processing and reporting deadlines.
- Verify charges and match to shipments
- Facilitate regular requests for quotes
- Oversee logistics pricing maintenance
- Assist with special projects as needed, which includes audit requests.
- Communicate with both internal and external customers in a professional, courteous manner.
- Continuously improve AP/AR processes to increase efficiencies, profitability, and overall enhance company performance.
- Other: maintain all established spreadsheets; ensure compliance with company metrics; maintain all required files/records; follow all company policies and procedures; work and communicate in a Shared Service environment; other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications
- Education: Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities. Associates Degree preferred. Must have 2-3 years prior experience in a similar role.
- Licenses/Certifications: None required.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Basic accounting principles used in the performance of clerical and technical duties; methods and process of coding, verifying, balancing, and reconciling accounting records; basic mathematical principles; customer service skills; telephone etiquette; modern office procedures, methods and equipment including computers, and copiers; work under
pressure with frequent interruptions, high attention to detail, analytical abilities, team player open to working with anyone.
- Core Competencies: computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications; following all applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations; understand and follow oral and written instructions; clear, concise communication skills both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships both internally and externally.
