Job Summary:
The Electrical Service Estimator consults with existing and potential clients to discover electrical needs.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Meet with customer to determine electrical needs.
- Estimates residential and commercial electrical projects and prepares proposal for presentation.
- Writes estimates in the field when required.
- Close deals with customers onsite or by a proposal.
- Complete electrical scopes of work.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and diagnose faulty items in the electrical System.
- Monitor jobs in progress and assist with invoice collection when needed.
- Develops relationships with commercial/residential clients with potential electrical needs.
- Work with assigned electrical service supervisors, field techs, and staff.
- Generate sales and service quoting opportunities.
- Develop new accounts as well as service existing accounts.
- Keep in touch with current and future Strada Electric customers.
- Abide by all safety / environmental rules and regulations.
- Works with service manager to meet company goals and revenue expectations.
- Become proficient in company software and company reporting.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge electrical systems diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of NEC codes, rules, and regulations.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, provide guidance, and consult with clients using good customer relations skills.
- Must possess hand tools and power tools to execute job duties.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Must be able to operate a company vehicle.
- Must be able to complete tasks, as assigned, within company standard time frame.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 years of electrical residential new construction install experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to work with heavy tools and equipment at heights.
- Must have valid drivers license and clean MVR record.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds.
