Residential Electrical Trainer is responsible for the hands-on residential electrical training program. Works with new hires during training to monitor performance, answer questions and provide support.
Supervisor Responsibilities
- Administer, lead, and train new hire classes with up to 15 attendees.
- Lead, monitor, motivate and oversee their trainees to meet productivity and quality standards.
- Ensure work is being installed according to local and NEC codes.
- Order materials as needed to complete the job.
- Complete payroll tickets weekly for the crew.
- Consistently check for code compliance.
- Assist with troubleshooting as necessary to meet home completion deadlines.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
- Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment.
- Possess knowledge of the current National Electric Code.
- Ability to read and accurately interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
- Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care for tools and equipment.
- Excellent presentation skills, with demonstrated proficiency in presenting information clearly and effectively in both oral and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines and goals.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Must have a Valid Driver’s License and clean MVR report
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 5 years of experience in fast-paced, high-volume residential electrical new construction.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
