What the Job Looks Like

As the Maintenance Technician, you will work with the Maintenance team keeping our production equipment operating in a safe, efficient manner and adequately diagnose controls issues. You will perform the following core job responsibilities:

• Responsible for start-ups, set-ups and changeover of all production line filling equipment
• Proficiency in troubleshooting packaging and labeling machinery, encompassing unscramblers, fillers, cappers, labelers, pick and place systems and palletizers
• Troubleshoot faults, change bit states, reset timers and counters
• Set computer IP address to connect to machine network using Ethernet/IP and AB DF1
• Daily checks of equipment and building systems, diagnose and repair as needed
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of workspace
• General building maintenance such as painting, carpentry, lighting, plumbing, and snow removal
• Follow all safety processes and procedures
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Important Qualifications to your Success

• Able to work the core business hours of 5:30am- 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with some required overtime
• Associates degree in applied science, with a focus in Electro-Mechanical Automated Systems
• Basic knowledge of the following platforms:
• Compact Logix - RsLogix5000 (Studio 5000)
• MicroLogix – RsLogix500
• RS Linx Classic
• Micro 800 – Connected Components Workbench
• Knowledge of the below VFDs and how to adjust drive parameters:
• Powerflex Variable Frequence Drives
• Automation Direct DuraPulse Drives
• Knowledge of the below workings of Allen Bradley safety devices and circuitry:
• GuardMaster Mechanical Safety Switches
• Safety contractors and relays
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts
• Able to read and understand schematics and repair manuals
• Experience with common tools, precision measuring instruments, and electronic testing devices
• Able to climb, balance, walk, stoop, crawl, and maneuver in and around equipment
• Able to lift up to 50lbs. and move up to 100 lbs. with assistance
• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills
• Good computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and programs
• Familiar with 3D modeling and printing is a plus
• Proficient in operating milling machines, lathes and drill presses to manufacture machine components is a plus
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts as well as scissor lifts
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or on a team to complete assignments within specified timelines
• Occasional exposure to high places and moderate to loud noise level
