Job Summary
The Restaurant Server assists guests with food and beverage orders, prepares checks, and serves food and beverages to guests. The server also assists with opening or closing duties for the restaurant/bar area depending on the assigned shift.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Restaurant Server's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Presenting menus, answering questions, and making suggestions regarding food and service to patrons.
- Providing a positive dining experience for guests.
- Relaying orders to the cook and serving courses from the kitchen and service bar areas.
- Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the entire work area.
- Maintain excellent communication with co-workers and guests and maintains a positive and professional work environment.
- May use online ordering software or point of sale system.
- Completes duties and confirms on shift checklist as assigned.
- All other required or requested job -related duties specified by supervisory personnel.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 lbs
- 6 months serving experience preferred
- Ability to use online ordering software or point of sale system and provide correct change for cash purchases
- Must have strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of basic math calculations
