Stratacent is seeking a Business Analyst with strong understanding of technology assessment, tool rationalization and observability tools.
Responsibilities
Lead comprehensive data collection efforts to identify and catalog all tools, platforms, and software solutions used across the organization
Develop and implement methodologies for evaluating tool effectiveness, utilization, and overlap
Design and conduct stakeholder interviews, surveys, and workshops to gather qualitative data on tool usage and requirements
Create detailed mapping of tools to business functions, identifying redundancies and opportunities for consolidation
Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of tool rationalization initiatives
Develop observability frameworks to monitor system performance, user adoption, and business impact
Partner with IT, Finance, and Operations teams to analyze licensing costs, maintenance requirements, and total cost of ownership
Create data visualization dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership
Develop business cases and ROI analyses to support tool rationalization decisions
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful implementation of recommendations
Preferred Skills
Experience with IT service management frameworks (ITIL, COBIT)
Knowledge of cloud services and SaaS licensing models
Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks
Experience with cost optimization initiatives and vendor management
Background in change management and organizational transformation
Certifications in business analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or project management (PMP, PRINCE2)
Qualifications
5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years focused on technology assessment, tool rationalization, or IT portfolio management
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software licensing models, and enterprise architecture principles
Experience with observability tools and practices (e.g., application performance monitoring, distributed tracing, log aggregation)
Proven track record in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
Expertise in process mapping, requirements gathering, and business process improvement
Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
Excellent Project Management Skills With Experience Leading Cross-functional Initiatives
Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
