Job Title: Electrical Assistant Project Manager
Location: Sterling, VA
Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 annually
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Sterling, VA. The ideal candidate will support the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards. This role requires hands-on expertise in mission-critical environments, data centers, and large commercial projects, working directly with an electrical contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing electrical projects from inception to completion, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with project managers, electricians, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to align with scope and timelines.
- Monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, electrical codes, and client requirements.
- Prepare reports, track costs, and maintain documentation for project milestones.
- Support procurement of materials and equipment for mission-critical and commercial installations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience working directly for an electrical contractor.
- Proven expertise in mission-critical projects, data centers, and large commercial electrical installations.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and construction processes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field a plus, but not required.
Ideal Experience:
- Hands-on management of data center builds supporting 1MW critical loads.
- Oversight of commercial projects exceeding $5 million in value.
- Familiarity with Northern Virginia’s electrical contracting market.
