Guest Experience Mission Team Lead

SUMMARY

We are looking for exceptional people to join our Mission Team at the Midwest’s premier air and space attraction – Strategic Air Command & Aerospace Museum! With over 150,000 guests each year, this is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Guest Relations that includes the areas of Admissions, Flight Simulators, Store Associate, Food and Beverage, as well as some events. Approximately 40 hours a week, available shifts are seven days a week with some evenings needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Make guests feel welcome by creating outstanding experiences they will remember. Being proactive and able to provide superior guest service is a must.

· Cheerfully welcome every guest to the Museum

· Engage with guests by thoughtfully answering questions

· Ensure prompt, efficient, and friendly service always

· Represent the mission of the museum to “entertain, educate, and inspire”

· Aid in promoting to meet membership and sales goals

· Cash and Credit reconciliation

· Perform cashiering duties as needed

· Opening and closing duties as assigned

· Manage and maintain inventory product

· Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the Museum

· Aid in the management of other Guest Relations staff team members

· Maintaining standard protocols for all Guest Relations staff team members

· Report directly to Guest Relations Supervisor

· Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

· Preferred 2-3 years of experience in customer service

· Preferred 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role

· Previous experience in sales reports and cash runs/banking deposits

· Previous cash handling

· Self-motivated

· Team player who works well with others

WORKING CONDITIONS

· Work is done inside and can be physical, sometimes needing to lift heavy loads weighing more than 50 pounds.

· Daily work includes cleaning, gift shop sales and merchandise organizing/restocking, and most importantly, proactively interacting with guests.

· Flexible schedule required (weekends, afternoons, mornings, etc.)

JOB CLASSIFICATION/OTHER: Full time, Hourly. $15-$16/hour depending on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
