JOB TITLE : Space Modeling and Simulations Engineer (Level II, III, IV)

REPORTS TO : SABG PM
FLSA STATUS : Regular Full-Time Exempt
SUMMARY : SABG is seeking a Space Modeling and Simulations Engineer in Multiple Levels- Level II, III, and IV to support the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
- Perform orbital mechanics modeling including orbit determination, orbital maneuvering, and spacecraft flight dynamics
- Supporting Sensor phenomenology (optics / radar / RF)
- Utilize and develop cutting-edge mod / sim tools and algorithms to help address some of the most challenging issues regarding Space Situational Awareness (SSA) for the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DOD)
- Develop code / scripts to develop algorithms, perform analyses, and automate data processing to model space conflict scenarios for system evaluation and mission effectiveness
- Work in a collaborative team environment studying and analyzing a wide variety of interesting and complex problems in the Space domain
SUPERVISION : This position has supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Solid understanding of basic mathematical concepts and the ability to apply them in proposal development.
REASONING ABILITY : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
