Operations Support Analyst Intermediate Job Description

JOB TITLE: Operations Support Analyst Intermediate

CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

LOCATION: Colorado Springs, CO

REPORTS TO: SABG Program Manager

FLSA STATUS: Regular Full-Time Exempt

SUMMARY: SABG is hiring an Operations Support Analyst Intermediate to support Warfighter Operational Integration work with the Missile Defense Agency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.

Ideal Candidates Will

  • Provide infrastructure and project management support to the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Schriever SFB, Division Chief Site Lead
  • De-conflict daily operations, training, testing, maintenance activities, upgrades, and installation activities on-site
  • Review requests for major projects, work orders, and expenditures
  • Support the Government in monitoring and managing infrastructure support task orders
  • Participate in facility boards
  • Review budget projections for projects and equipment
  • Support Asset Management on an ad hoc basis; submit Event Objective Worksheets (EOWs) as needed
  • Support other MDA sites such as Fort Greely, AK, Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA, and Fort Drum, NY

SUPERVISION: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of the team and assists with solving complex problems. Advanced level working knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Office. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • 4 years’ experience must be in the missile defense industry
  • 5 years’ operational experience in ground-based weapon systems analysis

Computer Skills

  • Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment
  • Must have proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.
