We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Paralegal to join our thriving Estate Planning Department. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of paralegal experience with a strong focus on estate planning matters. This role will involve a wide range of responsibilities supporting attorneys in all aspects of estate administration, including :
Key Responsibilities :
Estate Administration :
Assisting with probate and trust administration proceedings, including gathering and organizing estate assets.
Preparing and filing necessary court documents, such as inventories, accountings, and petitions.
Communicating with beneficiaries, executors, and other interested parties.
Assisting with the distribution of estate assets.
Estate Planning :
Preparing estate planning documents, such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
Conducting legal research and analysis.
Assisting with client meetings and consultations.
Maintaining client files and databases.
Other Duties :
Performing general administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
Assisting with special projects as needed.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
5 years of paralegal experience
Strong knowledge of estate administration procedures and probate law.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of estate planning software such as Lackner.
Strong work ethic and a commitment to client service.
