Job Description : Financial Planning Assistant

Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Financial Planning Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the design of financial plans, participate in client meetings, manage applications, maintain accurate CRM records, and ensure the seamless processing of business transactions. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, proficiency in Excel, the ability to follow up with clients, and a high degree of initiative and self-direction. We offer a hybrid working environment, providing flexibility for remote and in-office work.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Financial Plan Design :

Assist in the creation and design of comprehensive financial plans tailored to individual client needs.

  • Conduct research and gather necessary data to support financial planning recommendations.
  • Client Meetings :
  • Participate in client meetings, taking detailed notes and assisting with client interactions.

  • Provide support in presenting financial plans and recommendations to clients.
  • Application Management :
  • Prepare and process financial applications accurately and efficiently.

  • Ensure all applications are completed in a timely manner and meet compliance standards.
  • CRM Management :
  • Maintain and update client information in the CRM system with precision and attention to detail.

  • Ensure all client interactions and transactions are accurately recorded in the CRM.
  • Client Follow-Up :
  • Follow up with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on their financial plans.

  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and requests, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Business Processing :
  • Process business transactions and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth and efficient processing of client requests.
  • Excel Proficiency :
  • Utilize Excel to analyze financial data, create spreadsheets, and support financial planning activities.

  • Develop and maintain financial models and reports using Excel.
  • Analytical Skills :
  • Apply strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and make informed recommendations.

  • Analyze client portfolios and market trends to support financial planning decisions.
  • Communication Skills :
  • Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.

  • Clearly convey complex financial concepts to clients in an understandable manner.
  • Self-Direction and Initiative :
  • Take initiative in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.

  • Work independently to manage tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, ACT) preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Insurance license preferred.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Previous experience in financial planning or a related field is a plus.
