What will I Learn?
As an Intern at Strategic, you will gain hands-on experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with teams that are focused on supporting our clients’ missions with investment excellence. All Interns are expected to contribute to all aspects of the business and will be given the opportunity to attend meetings and assist with research, analysis, due diligence and other tasks and responsibilities to develop their skillsets.
Our 10-week Summer Internship Program begins with an in-depth training program. Over the first five weeks, you will participate in an asset class rotation program and learn about investment and client portfolio management. Interns will work on a meaningful research project in the second half of the internship. Over the course of the program Interns will have the following opportunities and responsibilities:

- Work directly with a mentor to assist the investment team with projects related to client portfolios and underling investments across various asset classes (e.g., public equity, fixed income, hedge funds, private equity, real assets and Other).
- Complete a research project in an assigned investment management subject and present findings to the firm.
- Monitor client investment Portfolios, which entails reviewing portfolio performance, attribution, and positioning, preparing client presentations, assisting with investment and portfolio analysis.
- Learn and perform performance attribution, investment analysis and other quantitative assessments of portfolio performance.
- Conduct other projects related to broad array of institutional investment areas.
- Gain the skills and knowledge to become a professional in the investment management industry.
- Build a lasting professional network through social events and engaging activities.
- Rising Seniors with an expected Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or Accounting.
- Strong academic credentials and understanding of relevant financial, mathematical, and accounting techniques.
- A minimum 3.25 GPA (preferred).
- Basic understanding of financial markets and strong interest in investments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- High degree of attention to detail and time-management skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- High integrity and ethical values.
- Experience or familiarity with VBA, SQL, and R.
- Experience working with large data sets.
- Interest pursuing CFA designation.
