What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intelligence Analyst position at Strategic Operational Solutions?
Brief Overview of Position :
Strategic Operational Solutions (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for an Intelligence Analyst role to support a DHS client where we are focused on delivering innovative operations and solutions through proven successful methods. We support the Government as it requires vetting support in from experienced experts in the analytical practices of vetting, open source analysis, identity resolution, and counterterrorism. Position requires onsite support in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Description of Duties :
Provide on-site support to participate in daily operations, ensuring continuous collaboration with the I&A / NTVC staff and EVADE leadership
Provide a sustained, on-site presence capable of accepting and managing day-to-day tasking's as part of the team
Participate in EVADE establishment activities, security threat assessments and other vetting activities as needed
Facilitate reach-back to subject matter expertise within the contractor's corporate knowledge base as needed
Possess 4 or more years of experience in the following areas below.
Expertise with information technology tools analyzing the deep web to determine transportation links
Expert knowledge with identity resolution concepts and techniques
Expertise with vetting and security threat assessments of insider threats
Expertise in publicly available social media, the deep web, and other non-conventional data sources
Ability to independently produce written assessments, graphic representations (in Analyst's Notebook or like capability) of findings, source documentation, and summary briefings in response to tasking
Previous exposure to or experience with some key areas of concern for I&A, including but not limited to watchlisting, vetting, counterterrorism, transportation infrastructure, open source information such as social media
Previous exposure to or experience with some or all of the relevant analytic tools for the I&A, possibly including, Analyst's Notebook, or other open source or commercially-deployed network mapping and correlation tools
Past experience working closely with, or in, government organizations
Past experience working in new organizations or in forming new cross-functional teams
Understanding of laws, authorities, key policies and procedures, as well as the privacy and intelligence oversight authorities and procedures
Proven ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels in a team environment and develop solutions to complex problems
