Duties/Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Assistant Controller and VP of Accounting to oversee all accounting activities, ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and provide strategic financial insights.
- Assist with the monthly closing process including both doing and reviewing reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, consolidation of de-centralized business units and internal management reporting.
- Partner with other finance functions for monthly and quarterly close activities.
- Oversee functions responsible for GL, Fixed Assets, Leases, Accounts Payable & Payroll.
- Corporate liaison for accounting staff at de-centralized business units.
- Drive efforts to streamline and continually improve the effectiveness, timeliness and accuracy of the monthly closing process.
- Provide analysis of results against operating plans, budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with annual external audit process.
- Manage, develop and mentor direct reporting personnel.
- Manage the tax compliance and ensure compliance with sales/use/other tax requirements and filings.

The gross annual salary range is $100,000 - $120,000 This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of five years of accounting experience and two years in a managerial/supervisory role required.
- Knowledge of inventory and cost accounting preferred.
- Consolidation, state and local tax experience and lease accounting experience preferred.
- Experience within the CPG or retail industry preferred.
- Proficiency in Oracle R12 (preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards in handling confidential financial information.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
