The Server and Storage Manager reports directly to the Director of Information Technology and is responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, and reliability of the company’s IT infrastructure. This includes servers, security and cybersecurity systems, end-user device management, and enterprise applications. The Server and Storage Manager ensures that all company facilities maintain a robust, secure, and redundant infrastructure to support operational needs, enabling seamless order processing, production, shipping, and financial transactions. Additionally, this role provides internal teams with the necessary IT resources to optimize performance and support customer demands.
Essential Functions:
- Lead and manage a team of three to five infrastructure staff across all company locations.
- Oversee server and storage systems, ensuring reliability, security, and performance.
- Develop and implement IT project planning and management strategies.
- Maintain system consistency and standardization across the organization.
- Provide direct support to internal and external users, troubleshooting IT-related issues efficiently.
- Develop and enforce policies, procedures, system usage standards, and equipment capability guidelines.
- Define and execute strategic direction for infrastructure development and optimization.
- Manage and deploy security and cybersecurity strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in the development of system redundancy and disaster recovery policies to minimize downtime.
- Design and implement training plans for IT staff and company-wide users to enhance technology proficiency.
- Ensure company compliance with hardware and software licensing regulations and all relevant governing bodies.
- Collaborate with department managers to assess IT infrastructure needs and growth requirements.
- Work closely with the Director of IT to align technology standardization across all company locations.
- Provide after-hours support for production downtime or shipment-critical issues.

- Act as a key player in the IT department’s service-oriented approach, ensuring clear, professional communication with end users.
- Translate complex technical information into easily understandable terms for non-technical staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5–10 years of supervisory experience in a mid-to-large IT department.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to all facets of IT.
- Proven track record in IT project management and strategic planning.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent proven experience.
