We are seeking a skilled Customer Service Representative specializing in Contract Purchase Requisitions (PRs) to join our team. This role combines customer service excellence with technical expertise in procurement processes.ResponsibilitiesCollaboration and Customer Service
- Screen and create contract PRs, troubleshooting issues as needed17
- Search mandatory sources such as MILSTRIP, FEDMALL, and Ability One for procurement requests
- Determine appropriate Account Assignment Category Code, Product Service Code, and Federal Supply Code
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers14
- Provide excellent customer service with no more than 4-5 valid complaints
- Maintain the 1071 SharePoint Tool with up-to-date information on Contract PRs
Technical Competence
- Manage the lifecycle of Contract Purchase Requisitions efficiently, including technical screening, PR creation, approval, and rework28
- Provide pre-screening and customer service support
- Negotiate with customers to resolve contract request challenges
- Maintain ethical and professional behavior, elevating issues when necessary
- Provide follow-up actions on pending Contract PRs and communicate updates to customers
Resource Management and Leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve services and products continuously14
- Respond constructively to feedback and seek ways to improve PR processes
- Raise concerns constructively and offer potential solutions to NSWCCD customers
- Work effectively as a team player within the 1071 department
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent14
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills14
- Proficiency in using customer service software and SharePoint
- Ability to work in a telework environment and adhere to telework guidance
- Commitment to attending all required training sessions, teleconferences, and meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in government procurement processes
- Familiarity with MILSTRIP, FEDMALL, and Ability One systems
- Proven track record in customer service excellence
