Strategies to Empower People is looking to hire a full-time Program Manager II for our Comprehensive Support Program! This position will provide program direction, coordinate services, and manage our community-based Independent Living Services, Tailored Day Services (employment), and Housing programs.

WHAT IS THE JOB?
The Program Manager II reports the Chief Executive Officer and assists the CEO with multiple program oversight, training, and corrective actions for all unit employees including Program Managers, Comprehensive Support Professionals, and Housing Specialists. This position works alongside a team of Managers and field staff to provide Independent Living services, employment services, and housing services for the Intellectual and/or Developmentally Disabled (I/DD) adults our agency serves in the greater Sacramento area!
The Program Manager II is responsible for ensuring our program's compliance with external regulations and internal policies and procedures, as well as being responsible for intake, assessment and referral, transition planning, employment planning, Person-Centered Active Support principles, individualized support planning (ISP's), housing planning, crisis management, quality assurance for the individuals supported by the programs, program billing, scheduling of work and staffing, staff performance, and review and improvement of the programs included in the Comprehensive Support Program. The Program Manager II should be skilled with monitoring the achievement of objectives and comfortable with holding others accountable to program goals/milestones.
Being an advocate for our clients and being a strong communicator is a MUST for the Program Manager II role! We want someone who isn't afraid to hit the pavement with our clients and field staff while also being comfortable having backend conversations with the Sacramento business community regarding job and housing opportunities for adults with disabilities.
SCHEDULE
The Program Manager II position is a salaried exempt role which is on-call Monday through Friday and may be responsible for occasional weekend on-call coverage. Please note that this is not a 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. position! The Program Manager II is one of the last lines of supervision for our agency and needs to be an accessible resource for our clients, supervisory team, and our field staff!
The rate of pay for this position is $72,800-$79,040 annually depending on experience and Sign Language skill level, if applicable.
LOCATION
This position operates out of our Sacramento office location, which is located at 2330 Glendale Lane in Sacramento, 95825. This is not an office-only position! The expectation for the Program Manager II is to be on-site and available to support our clients in the entirety of the greater Sacramento area as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The Program Manager II position requires experience supervising other individuals as well as extensive experience working in the Human Services field with individuals who have intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
The right candidate for the Program Manager II position will have experience and/or knowledge of managing Supported Living Services (SLS), Independent Living Services (ILS), resourcing and maintaining employment opportunities, and securing or stabilizing housing.
Eligible candidates will have experience with MAPS/PATHS and Circles of Supports for development of Individual Support Plans (ISP's).
The position requires a Master's degree in one of the following areas: Education, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Medicine, Speech and Language, Rehabilitation, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a comparable degree in a human services field.
This position also requires at least two (2) years of supervisory and budgetary/finance experience. This means supervising staff, NOT supervising individuals with disabilities!
On top of the supervisory and field experience we also need someone who understands program budgets as well as the Medi-Cal system since it is such a huge part of the services we provide. This position takes an active role in reviewing and implementing department and client budgets!
We support and employ several deaf or hard of hearing individuals so possessing AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL) skills is a huge PLUS!
Being a licensed and insured driver is necessary for this role, which includes having a clean driving record (no excessive points, and no DUIs/wet-and-reckless in the past 10 years). We provide mileage reimbursement at a rate of $.70 per mile.
