WHO ARE WE?
Strategies to Empower People is a 100% employee-owned company that operates in the Greater Sacramento area, Yuba/Sutter/Placer counties, and North Bay region! We have been providing services to adults with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) since 1994 and are the largest provider of our type in the area!
We believe that every moment has potential, and we work tirelessly to ensure the people we serve are given every opportunity to be as independent as possible in their homes and in their communities. No two people we serve are alike so we are looking for employees who are adaptive, creative, and who thrive on the success of others!
WHAT IS THE JOB?
The Weekend Supervisor is responsible for providing support for the disabled adults we serve in Yuba and Sutter counties, as well as providing support, supervision and resources for the direct support staff who work with our clients. This position will primarily be providing shift coverage in the homes of our clients, meaning you will be providing hands-on support for the people we serve during the majority your scheduled shift!
This position operates during a set schedule of Friday 10 p.m. until Monday at 8 a.m., and its primary responsibility is to be the go-to resource for our Supported Living Services department during weekend hours.
As this position operates across a 58-hour shift it has built in overtime! The Weekend Supervisor will operate out of the homes of our clients during their shift hours and will slot into asleep overnight schedules in the field on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. This position is not a work-from-home position and is actively supporting the department while remaining in the field for the duration of the schedule.
On top of being an in-person resource and support for our clients and staff the Weekend Supervisor is responsible for meeting numerous administrative requirements, such as documentation, auditing, training, and more. This position works closely and directly with the I/DD population in the field - if you love people, and you love forging lasting relationships, this is the job for you!
SCHEDULE
The Weekend Supervisor position is an hourly role that operates Friday from 10 p.m. until the following Monday at 8 a.m. This position operates every weekend!
The rate of pay for this position ranges from $20 per hour to $21 per hour. The Weekend Supervisor fulfills a 58-hour shift from Friday 10 p.m. until Monday at 10 a.m., which means that this position has 40 hours paid at a rate from $20 per hour to $21 per hour with 18 hours of overtime pay during each scheduled shift.
LOCATION
This position operates in the field during work hours and can access our Roseville location as needed during its regular business hours. Our Roseville office is located at 730 Sunrise Avenue, Ste. 200, Roseville, 95765.
This is not office position! The Weekend Supervisor works the entirety of their shift in the field at the homes of the clients we support in the Yuba and Sutter areas!
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The Weekend Supervisor is a position that requires both experience supervising other individuals as well as having extensive experience working in the Human Services field!
This role requires at least two (2) years experience working with individuals who have Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD population). A solid understanding of this population and its needs is a HUGE requirement - you need to understand and respect the population we serve!

We provide training on the platforms we use, so aptitude with using different systems is necessary for success as well as maintaining professional communication both verbal and written/typed.
Being a licensed and insured driver is necessary for this role, which includes having a clean driving record (no excessive points, and no DUIs/wet-and-reckless in the past 10 years). We provide mileage reimbursement at a rate of $.70 per mile.
