Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Worker to join our team.
Someone that enjoys being outdoors and doesn't mind getting dirty. The candidate should posses self motivation, a strong work ethic, good customer skills, and is willing to do what it takes to accomplish daily tasks. This position involves outdoor work and requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of plant care practices.
This role is essential in maintaining the health and growth of plants within our nursery environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong willingness to learn about various plant species and their care requirements at the nursery and in the landscape.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the unloading/loading of trucks, setup and displaying plant material, pulling orders, preparing plant material for transport, working with customers and assisting with their needs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as weeding, pruning, and pest control.
- Hand watering and operate irrigation systems to ensure proper water supply for plants.
- Utilize hand tools and mechanical equipment safely and effectively for various nursey tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery area, including tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals and ensure quality standards are met.
Experience
- Previous experience in nursery work is preferred but not required.
- Friendly customer skills
- Familiarity with plant identification techniques is a plus.
- Experience with outdoor work in gardening, farming, or landscaping environments is beneficial.
- Mechanical knowledge for operating tools and equipment effectively is advantageous.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 48 – 58 per week
