POSITION OPENING
PART-TIME TRANSFER STATION ATTENDANT
Stratham Transfer Station, 25 Union Road, Stratham, NH 03885 and the Stratham Dept. of Public Works, 70 Bunker Hill Avenue, Stratham, NH 03885
Schedule:
· April 1st – November 30th: Saturdays (9:00 am - 4:00 pm) and Thursdays (2:00 pm - 6:00 pm)
· December 1st – March 31st: 1st and 3rd Saturdays (9:00 am - 4:00 pm)
· Additional hours as needed.
Compensation:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
Responsibilities:
· Maintain a neat and orderly Transfer Station
· Advise the public on proper use of the facility
· Enforce operating procedures with good judgment
· Sell access permits and charge disposal fees
· Perform other duties for the Transfer Station and the Department of Public Works as assigned
Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform various physical tasks, and operate small hand tools
· Valid driver’s license
· Obtain Level II Solid Waste Operator State certification within one year of hire
· Handle money responsibly
· Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
· Must pass all background checks and tests.
