Who You Are:
Extremely professional, responsible, and experienced individual. The Security Associate is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, staff and protecting community property.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensures the safety and well-being of residents and employees.
- Ensures the facility is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property
- Patrols the facility on foot
- Handles security issues or emergency situations appropriately
- Professionally answers phones using our phone etiquette protocol
- Greets guests and employees in a cheerful and welcoming manner
- Builds, improves and maintains effective relationships with both client employees and guests
- Answers questions and assists guests and employees
- Responds to fire, panic, and smoke alarms; notifying appropriate departments and agencies where necessary.
- Responds to apartment calls.
- Maintains reports and records; assure confidentiality of resident information.
- Assists residents and visitors entering and exiting vehicles when possible.
- Performs security lock procedures on apartments when required.
- Conducts interior and exterior rounds of Westminster property.
- Provides escorts to and from parking areas when required or as requested.
Qualifications and Skills
- Neat and professional appearance
- Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- Previous Security Guard experience preferred.
- Position requires standing and/or walking for the majority of the shift.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 21 years of age
- Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner; must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
- Must be able to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
- As a condition of continued employment, employee must maintain current active status of all required License at all times
