POSITION SUMMARY
The Reservation Specialist serves as the first line of contact for call-in guests. Agents are responsible for booking products for guests in advance of their upcoming visit, answer inquiries regarding Stratton Mountain Resort products, services, lodging options, and customize vacation packages to fit the needs of the guests.
Agents are also tasked with outbound sales campaigns and other special projects as required. This is a full-time winter seasonal position that pays $20.
00 / hr commission. On site and remote positions available. Must live in either Vermont or New Hampshire to be eligible for remote work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provide customers with quality customer service in a friendly and positive manner
- Understand and develop an in-depth knowledge of products offered
- Cover a 9 hour phone shift sometimes longer during holiday and peak periods.
- Assess customers’ needs and provide them with the best products and vacation packages available to meet those needs
- Perform exceptional follow-up procedures to ensure the guest’s satisfaction
- Assist in the resolution of guest complaints, handle all guest concerns and communicate options
- Adhere to all departmental and company policies and procedures and participate in all departmental and resort training and development courses
- Additional duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education :
High School Diploma, or equivalent
Experience :
One-year experience in sales / customer service
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Proficient computer literacy skills
- As a prerequisite, candidates must have a strong command of the English language with emphasis on proper grammar and pronunciation and understandability, specifically while using the telephone
- Highly dependable and responsible for the department working policies and for their office teammates
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
