Part-time Scraps & Skeins Sales Associate - Cashier
About Scraps & Skeins:
Scraps & Skeins is a creative reuse store that through the rescue and resale of sewing, knitting, quilting, and other such materials employs people with mental health challenges. Wonderful volunteers manage the shop and amazing staff who these jobs mean the world.
About the job:
Strawberry Fields, Inc. and Scraps & Skeins are seeking an individual to work in a retail store setting. Sales Associates will be trained in handling fabric, yarn, notions, weighing and logging donations, measuring, ironing, folding and pricing fabric, stocking shelves, and must be comfortable working at the checkout counter. A successful candidate will be flexible regarding work schedule, have a positive attitude, enjoy working with people, and be eager to learn. A minimum of 3 hours will be scheduled weekly.
All training for this position will be provided at the Scraps & Skeins store. This is an opportunity for individuals with mental health issues to volunteer and seek employment. Interested applicants must complete and submit an online application at www.sfionline.org.
Hours will include Wednesdays from 9:00 A.M. to 2:15PM and/or every 3rd Saturday of the month from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M.
