Key position function include:
- Track and provide all 3rd party training as required to compile with OSHA and Corporate HSE Standards policies
- Perform all new hire orientations with safety overview, plant tour and safety sync
- Visit regularly each location in the region to monitor compliance to Corporate HSE Standards: (Monthly at minimum but bi-weekly is preferred) compliance inspections, training, toolbox meetings
- Unplanned travel or trips to conduct incident investigations or attend to other emergency situations as well as possible customer meetings, is a key part of the role
- Be available to accept calls and provide guidance on issues/incidents after normal working hours, it may also become necessary to travel after hours or on weekends
- Conduct thorough incident investigations in primary areas and provide timely update to management on corrective and preventative measures and any gaps in policies or procedures
- Maintain Safety Sync online training and provide a backup to database management
- Remain abreast of USA HSE regulatory requirements and provide the business with notification to pending changes
- Prepare and present statistics as required
- Through example create a culture of learning and reporting to enable the business to identify and eliminate risk as far as practical
Preferred candidate will possess a combination of the following:
- 3 years previous experience involved in an HSE related position. (Oil Field Setting is Preferred)
- Success in developing and implementing procedures to effectively reduce incidents.
- AAS in Safety Related Field (Interchangeable with other education and/or experience)
- Strong communication and computer skills a must
- Strong work ethics and drive to eliminate incidents is essential for this position
- Strong sense of urgency is imperative for this position
