Job Summary: We seek a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper to manage our company’s financial operations, ensure accuracy in accounting records, and support strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will combine strong accounting expertise with the ability to oversee financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, contributing to the company’s economic stability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management:
- Maintain and perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records regularly.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in creating budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgeted expectations and provide insights.
- Develop, monitor, and manage budgets to ensure alignment with company goals
- Ability to analyze financial data to forecast revenue, expenses, and cash flow
- Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Provide financial analysis and reports to assist leadership in decision-making.
- Compliance and Taxes:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Coordinate with external accountants for tax preparation and audits.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve accuracy.
- Implement best practices in bookkeeping and financial management.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with management to align financial strategies with business objectives
- Provide financial reports and updates to stakeholders
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; CPA certification is a plus
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping and/or controller experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Sage 300CRE preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, time management/organizational skills, ability to multi-task and proactively provide solutions
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
