Job Description
Stream RV is seeking a highly organized and communicative Service Coordinator to support our service department operations. This customer-facing role is responsible for handling inbound service inquiries, scheduling appointments, checking in customers, providing status updates, and maintaining accurate service documentation. The Service Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring a smooth customer experience while coordinating closely with the Service Manager and technicians.
Essential Job Functions
- Demonstrate consistent reliability and strong attendance to support daily service operations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for service customers via phone and in-person.
- Customer Service - Deliver exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with customers, technicians, and staff. Keep customers informed about work progress and resolve any concerns.
- Schedule and check in service appointments, document customer concerns, and update work order status.
- Relay repair updates and estimate information from the Service Manager to customers.
- Assist with parts tracking, warranty claim submission, and occasional estimate preparation.
- Maintain accurate records and support the flow of communication between customers, technicians, and parts staff.
- Self-Direction: Complete tasks independently with minimal supervision while providing regular progress updates to supervisors or managers.
- Physical Capabilities: Possess manual dexterity in both arms and hands, able to lift and move up to 35 lbs.
- Record Keeping: Accurately read and transcribe data to maintain precise records.
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred Experience
- Typing speed of 50 WPM or higher and strong written communication ability.
- Proven verbal communication skills with both customers and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in customer service or administrative role required.
- Experience in RV, automotive, or similar service-based industries is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with team members.
- Must be comfortable with computer-based scheduling, customer records, and workflow tools
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- Standing and Walking: Frequently stand and walk around the service area, parts department, gravel back lot, and outdoor retail display areas, including walking up grades of 15%.
- Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting may be required when working on a computer, answering calls, and completing paperwork.
- Lifting and Carrying: Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Bending, Stooping, and Kneeling: Occasionally required for accessing low shelves, file cabinets, or inspecting RVs and parts.
- Reaching and Handling: Frequently required to reach, handle, and use hands to operate office equipment.
- Climbing and Vehicle Operation: Frequently enter and exit RVs, travel trailers, and other vehicles, which involves climbing steps. Drive and park motorized vehicles as necessary.
- Visual Acuity: Required to read documents, computer screens, and inspect parts or RV components.
- Communication: Requires clear speech and hearing to communicate effectively.
- Manual Dexterity: Needed for typing, using a computer mouse, handling paperwork, and performing fine motor tasks.
Environmental Conditions:
- Exposure to both indoor office environments and outdoor service areas, which may involve weather extremes, dust, fumes, and noise.
- Wear job-appropriate attire and comply with all Stream RV, OSHA, and EPA safety standards.
