Directly supervise up to ten employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education And/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 10 years prior experience in IT engineering and operations, with at least 5 years in a management capacity. At least 5 years of experience with cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Obtained or demonstrates an active pursuit of one or more of the following certifications preferred: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Cloud Security Alliance CCSK.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide leadership, vision, and management to the Cloud Engineering Team.
- Support the architecture and engineering of application hosting services and tools utilized to manage the organizations cloud hosting services.
- Collaborate across departments including software engineering, cloud operations, and product development to ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
- Forecast and optimize costs for Azure and other solutions utilized in the support of cloud hosting.
- Develop team standards, policies and procedures, as well as determining level of effort and prioritization for the department to appropriately align to the goals of the company
- Maintain and increase performance of operations through the reduction of outages, the implementation of more effective controls, and the timely resolution of outstanding technology issues.
- Support organizations information security vision, strategy and tactical roadmap aligned with information security best practices and common data security controls in frameworks such as CIS, HIPAA, and NIST.
- Develop and adhere to key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs) for the Cloud Engineering team to ensure alignment with organizational goals and continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Assess and resolve technical problems that may involve complex integration of technologies across multiple software and hardware platforms.
- Educate, promote and influence advanced technology solutions and best practices within the team and organization.
- Update and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for our hosted customer systems.
- Complete special projects and other assignments as necessary

Other Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Five (5) years' experience successfully managing and developing project teams
- Five (5) years' experience in progressive management position and leadership role
- Three (3) years’ experience utilizing automation tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, and Ansible.
- Healthcare IT experience, including with HIPAA/HITECH compliance requirements, preferred
- Demonstrated track record with re-engineering / process improvement
- Ability to develop and maintain highly effective relationships, internally and externally
- Positive "can do" attitude with focus on the success of the team over individual accomplishments
- Excellent interpersonal, planning, organizational, prioritization, presentation, analytical, problem solving, oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable with change management specific to initiating, shaping and managing change.
