Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and growth-oriented person to join our team as the Logistics Coordinator at our Columbus, MN location. This position is exempt, full-time, hybrid role, and reports to the Logistics Manager.

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing the efficient movement of rental and salable equipment logistics. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, manufacturers, and transportation services to ensure timely delivery of products, and optimizing transportation costs. The Logistics Coordinator monitors shipments, tracks orders, and resolves any issues that may arise during transit. They play a key role in maintaining communication between all stakeholders, preparing and processing shipping documents, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate with transportation providers and our operations team to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.  

• Plan and coordinate shipments based on fleet availability and customer requests.  

• Ensure the quality of all fleet units and services provided by transportation providers meets the required standards.  

• Make special shipping arrangements as necessary.  

• Respond to customers’ inquiries and refer clients to the proper channels.  

• Prepare and review shipping documents (like rate confirmation, bill of lading and proof of delivery).  

• Maintain and update records of fleet units ensuring they are ready to move to the next customer.  

• Track orders to ensure timely deliveries and provide information to customers about the status of their shipment or shipments.  

• Approve and process carrier invoices by reviewing against the shipment paperwork.  

• Work on projects pertaining to increasing efficiencies within the fleet and logistics departments.  

• Ensure inventory and fleet management is complete and up to date in Salesforce.  

• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1 to 2 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain management or similar role.

Technology/Equipment:  

•  Computer skills and proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office products

Physical and Mental Demands

The Logistics Coordinator is predominantly an office-based role. The primary physical and mental demands include:

• Remains in a stationary position (sitting or standing) 50% of the time. 
• Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a scanner, copy machine and printer. 
• Communicates with others in their area of expertise, both internally and externally. Exchanges accurate information in these situations. 
• Frequently moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds. 
• Occasionally, the individual in this position will need to stand, reach, bend, stoop, and kneel.   
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include normal vision.  
• The office environment will have normal lighting and climate control tolerances.  
• Additionally, the office setting will have moderate noise exposure, i.e. business offices with computers, printers, light traffic.  
• Travel conditions may involve being in an aircraft or automobile for extended periods of time. 
• Work is performed in the business office at a minimum of 40 hours a week.
