SES is a leader in both standardized and custom full-scale testing in force, displacements, fatigue, temperature, pressure, torque, noise, and vibration. Stress Engineering’s testing services are offered through a series of industrial test labs located in Northwest Houston and Waller, Texas. Our test labs are equipped with test frames capable of forces up to 18 million pounds, pressure systems up to 60,000 psi, and a variety of equipment for application of various extreme environments and test conditions.
We are currently looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician who will work in our Waller, Texas testing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in test lab equipment.
- Install and repair low voltage instrumentation panels and medium voltage (480V) industrial panels.
- Read and interpret schematics and general drawings.
- Coordinate, perform, and document maintenance of various equipment throughout the lab.
- Follow company safety regulations and procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
- At least 4 years of experience working in an industrial maintenance or electrical setting (education/training may be considered in lieu of experience).
- Journeyman electrician status is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of electrical theory and the National Electric Code.
- Strong safety knowledge/awareness and experience adhering to stringent safety regulations required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required (Associate’s degree is a plus).
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude required, including troubleshooting of basic electronic and hydraulic circuitry.
- Basic computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office required.
- Ability to follow instructions (oral and written) while working safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment required.
- Willing and able to work overtime which may include occasional work after normal business hours, weekends, or night shifts.
- Must be qualified as an US Person
- Able to obtain an US passport without restrictions
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Must be able to pick up and carry 50lbs repetitively.
- Valid driver’s license (some occasional driving may be required).
