Stress Engineering Services Inc. We take on some of industry’s most difficult problems, utilizing approximately 275 employees, including 155 engineers across offices in Houston; Cincinnati; Waller, TX; and Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
We are seeking an Electrical Technician with training in the electrical or electronic field.
This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and general drawings.
- Assemble electrical systems including wiring and soldering as needed.
- Conduct field visits to client facilities for installation and start-up of systems.
- Perform project duties as part of a 2-to-6-person team.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the electrical or electronic field or an associate’s degree in Electromechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or the equivalent.
- Experience working in environments that demand safety knowledge/awareness.
- Strong electrical/mechanical aptitude.
- A hands-on, self-directed individual with the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Experience with data acquisition systems.
- Ability to follow instructions (oral and written) while working safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime which may include occasional work after normal business hours, weekends, or night shifts.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Must be able to pick up and carry 50lbs regularly.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (some occasional driving may be required).
- Ability to obtain a passport issued by the United States to travel globally and work in a various environments including refineries, power plants, offshore platforms, and industrial shops – up to 30% travel may be expected.
